Taylor & Francis Books India needs an Editor in Delhi
Taylor & Francis Books India Pvt Ltd currently has an opening for an Editor in the Journals team. The Editor will support the Journals Development Manager in the management and development of our list of peer-reviewed journals from South Asia.
The role will involve liaising with academic editors, scholarly societies and colleagues within Taylor & Francis; preparing reports for editorial board meetings; collating and analysing statistics; assisting in organizing editorial meetings, launch events, editorial forums and round tables; developing content for our electronic journal resource centres; maintaining web sites, and other administrative processes.
We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years’ experience in academic publishing with a background as a desk editor/development editor. The successful candidate should ideally have a master’s degree or equivalent and be willing to learn new business skills. You will need enthusiasm, an eye for detail, communication skills, a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. Some travel to meetings and conferences may be required.
This position is based at our office in New Delhi.
