The Higher Education division of Pearson Education is hiring a new media editor in its Noida office, responsible for researching and evolving digital educational solutions. New Media editors develop and enhance e-products by creating supplementary media for textbooks, introducing and updating areas of the Pearson Education Web site, publishing content on the Web Publishing System, and creating and editing new content.



The ideal candidate has excellent English-language skills, aptitude and enthusiasm for new technologies, the ability to manage time and meet strict deadlines, and possess familiarity with Flash, Java, CSS, HTML, XML, metadata, and SEO.

Development editors take theory and instructional test and—through a detailed process of review, feedback and testing—design course-defining and market-oriented learning solutions for the Indian and international higher education markets.


The ideal development editor has the ability to understand and facilitate a student’s needs, an author’s goals, and an instructor’s requirements, and synthesize them all into a successful textbook. They possess excellent language and editing skills, are creative and detail-oriented, are organized and able to maintain tight schedules, and employ superb communication skills.
