The Higher Education division of Pearson Education is looking for development editors at Noida, Chennai and Chandigarh, responsible for shaping manuscripts into rich and innovative textbooks. Development editors take theory and instructional test and—through a detailed process of review, feedback and testing—design course-defining and market-oriented learning solutions for the Indian and international higher education markets.
The ideal development editor has the ability to understand and facilitate a student’s needs, an author’s goals, and an instructor’s requirements, and synthesize them all into a successful textbook. They possess excellent language and editing skills, are creative and detail-oriented, are organized and able to maintain tight schedules, and employ superb communication skills.
