Starting this year, the EditPub course introduced hand-composition and letter-press printing: a kind of back to basics for designers and typesetters.
Here's something from that exercise: the first page proof of an incomplete Simon and Garfunkel song composed and printed by some students of the Design Module sometime early during the course. They arranged old metal types on a composing stick, applied leading, used a decorative block (that of a shirt), and printed the matter on a pedal-run letter press.
