publishing company, currently have an exciting opportunity for Editorial
Assistants to join the company in New Delhi. This position presents an
excellent opportunity to gain a thorough introduction to global higher
academic publishing in a varied and demanding role that works across a
range of subjects and will provide experience of research markets.
The Editorial Assistant is responsible for:
• Supporting the editor(s) they report to in achieving the agreed revenue and profitability targets for their list(s).
• Performing Editorial Assistant tasks as required, including managing and delivering the agreed handover targets for the list/editor, facilitating reviews of book proposals, maintaining internal records, processing contracts, and handling author queries.
• Liaising with key stakeholders, both internal and external.
Skills and behaviours required:
* Excellent team-working skills, and a collegiate approach to working
* Calm and logical response under pressure
* Ability to multi task, combined with ability to prioritize appropriately
* Good solution finding and decision-making
* Ability to build relationships
* Ability to handle and communicate information sensitively and professionally
Qualification required:
• Any graduate/post-graduate.
• This is an entry-level position but prior experience in publishing would be desirable though not essential.
